Aug. 25 - Georgia Eagle sale of Statesboro radio cluster to Neal and Elizabeth Ardman closes

August 25, 2014 -  In a deal filed with the FCC on June 12, 2014,  Neal and Elizabeth Ardman’s purchase of six radio stations in Statesboro from Georgia Eagle Broadcasting closed last week it has been announced. 

The Ardmans, from St. Mary’s, GA, who own stations there, reported to the FCC that they paid $600,000.   

The stations acquired include Adult Hits WMCD (HOTS 107.3)/CLAXTON, GA; AC WPMX (EAGLE 102.9), News-Talk; WWNS-A (NEWSTALK 1240) and Sports WPTB-A (YAHOO SPORTS RADIO 850)/Statesboro; Classic Rock WZBX (ROCK 106 FM)/Rocky Ford, GA; and Country WHKN (BEST COUNTRY 94.9)/Millen, GA.

Eddie Esserman of Media Services Group’s St.Simons Island, GA, office was the exclusive broker and represented the seller in this transaction.
